PM’s Working Group works with Lai Chau leaders

The Prime Minister’s Working Group led by Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan worked with leaders of the northern province of Lai Chau on August 23 to inspect civil service related activities in the province.

Vice Chairman of Lai Chau provincial People’s Committee Giang A Tinh said that the province has strictly implemented regulations on the recruitment, management and appointment of civil servants.

The province has also re-arranged and merged its agencies together in addition to streamlining the payroll and improving the quality of its civil servants, Tinh noted.

The local authorities carried out 1,344 receptions of citizens in 2018, received more than 1,600 complaints and denunciations, as well as also solving 12 out of 14 cases under the province’s jurisdiction in 2018, meeting 86% of the set target.

Minister Le Vinh Tan lauded the province for seriously implementing Government regulations on civil servants.

He asked the province to continue to re-arrange its organisational structure and streamline the payroll in addition to developing specific plans to prepare personnel for the upcoming Party Congress at all levels.
