Deputy PM reviews socio-economic development of Long An

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue held a working session with the leaders of Long An province to review the implementation of the province’s socio-economic development tasks.

The Government official applauded the province’s achievements in all fields. Since the beginning of this year, Long An has maintained an economic growth rate of 9.89% and its budget collection has neared VND10.18 trillion, equal to 74.41% of the yearly estimates.

Regarding the implementation of the National Target Programme on New-Style Rural Area Building, a total of 77 communes in the province have been certified as new rural areas, accounting for 46.6% of the total communes in Long An.

Deputy PM Hue asked the provincial authorities to map out a master plan with a long-term vision which targets to promote the advantages of the province’s geographical location and self-balance its budget collection and spending by 2021.

He also called for further attention to restructuring State-owned businesses, accelerating the streamlining of its administrative apparatus, and completing preparations for Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress.
