The event was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai; and Politburo member and former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi.

The programme featured numerous unique and touching performances by various well-known artists, such as People’s Artists Quang Tho and Thai Bao and singers Viet Hoan, Dang Duong, Trong Tan and Lan Anh.

The song and dance performances recalled the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, since his childhood in Sen village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, the years he spent abroad searching for a way to save the nation, his arduous days at the Viet Bac war zone, and his attachment to the capital city.

The short dramas depicting basic principles of President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary strategy were also showcased within the programme.

Also at the event, several experts and scientists talked about the great leader’s testament, affirming that it is both a historical document and an invaluable spiritual asset of Vietnamese people.

On the same day, a ceremony was held in Hanoi to honour winners of the stamp collection contest themed ‘Vietnamese children following President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament’. The contest ran from January to May, for both Vietnamese and foreign children aged 9-15 from across the country.

Dang Pham Ngoc Bich from Kim Dong Primary School in Hai Phong City won the special prize. The organising board also presented two first, four second, ten third and 20 consolation prizes to outstanding individuals.
