Politburo member Binh asked after Heroic Mother Ngay and listened to her sharing about the daily life of her family.

The deputy PM said that the Party and State always treasure and pay tribute to the significant sacrifices and devotions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.

According to the official, the huge loss of the Heroic Mothers, heroes and martyrs during the past resistance war for national protection has helped the Vietnamese country to be everlasting and forever prosperous, while ensuring a wealthy and happy life for the people.

Deputy PM Binh presented flowers and a gift to Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ngay, wishing her and her family good health. He asked the local authorities to continue caring for Heroic Mothers, policy beneficial families and national contributors, both materially and spiritually.

Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ngay, born in 1930, is currently living in Truong Binh commune, Can Giuoc district, Long An province. She had two sons who laid down their lives during the anti-US resistance war for national salvation, namely martyrs Truong Van Tang and Truong Van Mung.

In recognition of her sacrifices, Mother Nguyen Thi Ngay was awarded the “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” title by the State President in 2014.
