In addition, the committee will weigh up the need to introduce a resolution on managing and using funds collected from disinvestment in State-owned enterprises, and discuss a draft decree on customs procedures so as to implement ASEAN Protocol 7 on the customs transit system.

As part of its two-week meeting, the NASC will also deliberate on several important reports and make decisions on the re-organisation of a number of administrative units.

Sa Pa district, where the resort town of Sa Pa is located, is expected to be upgraded to a district-level town while a number of rural communes in Quang Ninh and Hai Duong provinces will be upgraded to urban wards under newly established towns.
