The activity was made as part of the delegation’s working visit to France from October 25 to 29.
Speaking at the ceremony, Florian Vigneron, deputy mayor of Montreuil hailed President Ho Chi Minh as one of the most prominent figures in the world's contemporary history, stressing that the Vietnamese President always lives in the heart of Montreuil City residents.
Deputy mayor Florian Vigneron congratulated Vietnam on becoming a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure with near-unanimous approval, saying that it would help the country to make further contributions to peace, social progress, and human development.
For his part, Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong expressed his thanks to the Montreuil City authorities for their efforts to preserve and promote spiritual values relating to President Ho Chi Minh at his space in the Museum of Living History.
The Vietnamese Party official highly appreciated the deep and sincere attachment of French people and Montreuil City residents towards President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese people.
He noted with pleasure that Vietnam-France strategic partnership has developed robustly in many fields, which can be seen through practical and effective cooperation projects between the two countries.
He also applauded the cooperation between Vietnamese and French localities in general, and the close cooperative relationship between Montreuil and Vietnam’s northern province of Hai Duong in particular, expressing his hope that the relationships will continue growing in the coming time.
On the occasion, Politburo member Vuong presented the museum with a number of books and publications on President Ho Chi Minh and the land of Vietnam, voicing his belief that the President Ho Chi Minh space in the museum will help to nurture the love for the Vietnamese leader among French people while developing the traditional friendship between the two countries.
