Politburo member, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong made the request at a working session with the provincial Party Committee on December 3.
The session focused on discussing the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, the situation of national defense and security, Party and political system building; the implementation of the 12th Party Central Committee’s Resolution 4 on enhancing the building and rectification of the Party, the Politburo’s Directive No. 05-CT/TW on promoting the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morality and style, and Resolution No. 35-NQ / TW on strengthening the protection of the Party’s ideological foundations, countering against the wrongful and hostile arguments in the new situation.
Politburo member Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the achievements of Thanh Hoa province in the fields of economy, politics and society. In 2019, the province has performed the merging of villages and communes, thereby reducing 1,578 villages and residential groups (down 26.4%), and completing steps and processes of reorganising 143 commune-level administrative units into 67 administrative units, down 76 units. The province has been proactive and creative in preparing the Party Congress at all levels for the term 2020-2025.
In order to prepare for the Party Congress at all levels for the term 2020-2025, he asked Thanh Hoa province to review the practicalities in the localities, focusing on communication work. The issued resolutions should focus on reality based issues; deploying resolutions that cadres should be interested in after the congress work
