Addressing the ceremony, the Vice President congratulated newly-accredited Vietnamese ambassadors while expressing her belief that the ambassadors will fulfill their missions entrusted by the Party and State.
She emphasised that after nearly 35 years of renewal, Vietnam’s position and strength has been improved considerably and appreciated by international partners.
The country has shifted into a comprehensively and deeply international integration period while facing many challenges in maintaining the economic growth and sustainable development and avoiding any middle-income traps. Thus, diplomacy for development should be one of the top priorities in this tenure, Thinh said.
She expected that ambassadors will stick to three key foreign missions including maintaining the peaceful and stable environment and utilising external resources to develop the country; protecting the national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity; and enhancing the position and prestige of the country.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Nguyen Vu Tung expressed his honour to take on the task assigned by the Party and State, pledging to do his best to complete all assigned tasks.
Ambassadors all affirmed to exert every effort to promote the relationships between Vietnam and other countries while ensuring the interests of the nation and people.
