Hoa Binh People’s Council opens 12th session

The 16th People’s Council of Hoa Binh province convened its 12h session on December 9 to review the province’s performance in socio-economic development in 2019, and set forth solutions for 2020.

The opening ceremony was attended by General Do Ba Ty, who is a member of the Party Central Committee and National Assembly Vice Chairman; Head of the NA Standing Committee's Commission for NA Members' Affairs Tran Van Tuy; and Chief of People's Aspiration Department Nguyen Thanh Hai.

Speaking at the event, NA Vice Chairman Do Ba Ty praised the results of the authorities, people and armed forces in Hoa Binhprovince in recent years. However, besides the achievements, the province still faces many difficulties and challenges, the speed of development is not commensurate with the available potentials and strengths.

Each member of the council should promote their role and responsibility to represent the will, aspirations, rights and interests of the people, he said. The People's Council of HoaBinh province was urged to closely follow the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, Resolution of the 14th National Assembly's session on socio-economic development plan for 2020, concretize the targets in the resolutions of the provincial People's Council to complete and exceed the socio-economic targets for the term 2015-2020.

He also asked the People’s Council to promptly and synchronously pass mechanisms and policies, especially those contributing to the rapid and effective use of the province’s potential and advantages, while reasonably allocating resources.

On the occasion, General Do Ba Ty and delegates attending the meeting planted a souvenir plant at the headquarters of the People's Council and the National Assembly delegation in HoaBinh province.
