NA Standing Committee concludes 40th session

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee concluded its 40th session in Hanoi on December 18.

During the session, the NASC members discussed the building of a development strategy for the State Audit between 2020 and 2030, with a vision to 2035.

The committee also adjusted the foreign capital-funded investment plan in 2019 among ministries, sectors and localities and also assigned the medium-term investment plan using the central budget for 2016-2020 tenure to the Vietnam Development Bank.

The outcomes of diplomatic and international cooperation programmes in 2019 and the NA Standing Committee’s agenda for 2020 were also put under discussion during the session.

Speaking at the closing session, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan asked the NA General Secretary to dutifully note all opinions of the committee’s members in order to finalise the report on the outcomes of the NA’s 8th plenary session and share initial opinions on the preparation for the ninth session next year.
