Promoting creativity, self-management consciousness among people

The Central Council for Mass Affairs organised a conference in Hanoi on December 24 to review its performance in 2019 and deploy tasks for 2020, under the chair of Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai.

Delegates at the conference evaluated that the mass affairs have continued to witness many innovations, in terms of content and mode of operation, actively grasp the situation of the people, especially in remoted and complicated areas.

The mass organisations are active in all areas of social life as well as have advised party committees and governments at all levels to solve newly arising issues,organise the implementation of patriotic emulation movements, promote creative spirit and self-management awareness among people, contribute to ensure security, safety and order, and complete political tasks. The conference also clarified limitations and shortcomings, as well as devise solutions to make work related to mass affairs more effective in 2020.

Speaking at the conference, Politburo member Truong Thi Mai spoke highly of the encouraging results gained over the past 12 months, which saw the participation of the entire political system towards better serving the people.

She emphasised that mass mobilisation activities should be stepped up in order to consolidate national solidarity and contribute to realising the country’s goals for socio-economic development, in addition to ensuring security and defence, and improving people’s livelihoods.
