The parliament leader made the request at a conference of the VFF on December 25 to review the work in 2019 and outline the action plan for 2020.

She congratulated the VFF on its achievements over the past year and asked the organisation and its local chapters to address the existing weaknesses pointed out at the conference in order to fulfil the tasks for 2020.

The NA chairwoman said that the front needs to closely follow the Party’s policy and guidelines, especially the resolution of the 12th National Party Congresses and socio-economic development plans and strategies.

Ngan asked the Fatherland Front at all levels to more effectively perform its role in implementing patriotic movements, helping to improve the standards of living, and supporting the disadvantaged and those affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

She also called on the VFF to take better care of national contributors and to increase its role in policy debate and the protection of the people’s legitimate rights and interests.
