NA chairwoman conveys Tet wishes to NA deputies

Politburo member and National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has extended her best wishes to the NA full-time deputies and all officials, civil servants and employees at the NA Office on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Ngan hosted a meeting with the delegates at the NA House in Hanoi on January 21 ahead of Tet, which will officially starts on January 25.

At the meeting, the delegates were provided with information on the NA’s operation in the remaining few days of the current lunar year. In particular, the NA Office focuses on advising activities to serve the NA leaders’ operation, along with NA’s external relation activities and organising visits to convey Tet greetings to the Party and State leaders, former leaders, revolutionary veterans, policy families, labourers and armed forces units during the Tet of 2020.

On behalf of the NA Standing Committee and the NA leaders, Ngan wished all the NA specialised deputies and the NA Office’s staff to enjoy a warm Tet with their loved ones.

Giving her sincere thanks to all members of the NA Standing Committee, the NA Office and NA deputies, the top legislator also expressed her wish that everyone would make every effort possible to complete their political tasks assigned by the Party, State and people in the new lunar year, while preparing all the best for their next term, as 2020 is the last year of the current 14th NA term.

* On the occasion of the upcoming Tet, the NA Office has visited and offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi, as well as visiting House No. 67 at the Presidential Palace relic which is dedicated to the beloved leader.

The delegation also visited Mai Dich Cemetery to offer incense to late high-ranking leaders of the Party and the State, including NA senior leaders, as well as the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of preserving and defending the Fatherland.
