The PM made the request while chairing the Council’s session in Hanoi on February 20.

Speaking at the session, the Government leader emphasised that emulation and rewards movements in 2019 saw good progress, contributing to the country’s overall socio-economic achievements.

Positive adjustments in both forms and content have been made to emulation movements in line with the real situation of each ministry, sector and locality, he said, adding that the movements have attracted the enthusiastic participation from centrally-run cities and provinces, and people from all walks of life.

The emulation and reward movements need to reach out to more people so that more exemplary people who are doing good deeds can be discovered and honoured, he noted.

PM Phuc also stressed that emulation and reward work must make further contributions to facilitating the country’s development and improving the people’s standard of living, at the same time these movements need to be closely aligned with the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks set for each ministry, sector and locality.
