At the working session, the Government official praised Dak Nong’s socio-economic achievements in 2019, particularly its progresses in vocational training, healthcare, education, administrative reform, defence and security maintenance.

He asked the locality to continue to bring into full play its advantages and potentials to speed up comprehensive and sustainable development in the coming years.

He noted that, as Dak Nong is home to many ethnic minority groups, the provincial authorities must exert more effort in ensuring social welfare, reducing poverty and improving the livelihoods of ethnic people, particularly those in remoted areas, while strengthening solidarity among ethnic groups.

Attention should also be paid to improving traffic infrastructure, developing tourism, maintaining defence and security, and increasing the forest coverage rate, he added.

Regarding the Covid-19 outbreak, the asked leaders of the province and the entire provincial political system to strictly follow preventive measures as directed by the Prime Minister and National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in order to ensure the safety of residents.
