NA Standing Committee postpones 43rd session

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee has decided to postpone its 43rd session which is expected to be held in Hanoi on March 10.

Based on the preparatory work, General Secretary of the NA Nguyen Hanh Phuc has sent a written notice to Government, the Standing Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and other Standing Committees of the NA.

According to the session’s agenda, the NA Standing Committee will consider and give opinions on the issues with different comments of the Law on Investment in the form of public-private partnerships; as well as the draft law amending and supplementing some articles the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, and the Dyke Law.

The delegates will also comment for the second time on the issues regarding different opinions on the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents; and the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Construction Law.

In addition, the session will discuss the issues with different opinions of the Draft Law on Investment (amended); the draft revised Enterprise Law; the draft Law on Border Guard; and the draft revised Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.

The NA Standing Committee is scheduled to consider the adjustment of the ratio of funding guarantees for the operation of the General Department of Taxation and the General Department of Customs in the 2016-2020 period.
