Party, State leaders pay tribute to Uncle Ho on National Reunification Day

A delegation of Party, State, Government and National Assembly leaders paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on the morning of April 30 to mark the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

The delegation included Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former President Tran Duc Luong, former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An, and Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, among other senior leaders.

Senior leaders expressed their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh for his great contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese Party and people.

President Ho devoted his whole life to the people and nation, leading the Party and people to glorious victories. Following his will, the entire Party, army and people completed the cause of liberating the South and reunifying the nation on April 30, 1975 towards building a socialist country.

The delegation also laid a wreath at the monument dedicated to heroes and martyrs on Bac Son Street.

They also expressed their thanks and appreciation for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives to fight for the cause of national liberation and freedom.
