NA continues online discussions on bills

The ninth session of the 14th National Assembly continued its third online working day in Hanoi on May 22 under the chair of NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu.

In the morning, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh presented a proposal on the draft law on international agreements. Chairman of the NA’s Committee for External Relations Nguyen Van Giau later presented a verification report on the draft law.

Afterwards, NA Secretary General and Head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc delivered a proposal on the parliament’s planned supervisory programme for 2021.

Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Legal Affairs Hoang Thanh Tung presented the NA Standing Committee’s proposal on a planned law and ordinance building programme for 2021 and revisions to this year’s programme. Afterwards, the legislators engaged in online discussions on these matters.

In the afternoon, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long presented a proposal on amending and supplementing some articles of the law on handling administrative violations.

Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Legal Affairs Hoang Thanh Tung presented a verification report on this bill. He then presented the NA Standing Committee’s report on amendments and supplements to the draft law revising and supplementing several articles of the law on promulgation of legal documents.

The legislators then conducted online debates on the bill.

On May 23, the NA will continue online discussions on proposals related to some bills on immigration, the pilot of urban administration in central Da Nang city and other particular policies, as well as amendments and supplements to some articles of the law on construction.
