Directed by Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, lawmakers gave their opinions, for the second time, on adjustments to a project building several sections of the North-South Expressway during the 2017-2020 period.

They later reviewed the implementation of the Committee’s Resolution on the pilot merger of the Office of the NA Deputies’ Delegation, the Office of the People’s Council, and the Office of the People’s Committee at the provincial level.

Under Hien’s direction, they also offered feedback on the NA’s draft Resolution on reducing corporate income taxes for micro and small-sized enterprises this year.

Lawmakers agreed there is a need to cut corporate income taxes to ease difficulties facing enterprises from COVID-19 as well as to realise Articles 10 and 16 of the Law on Support for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises 2017, which took effect on January 1, 2018.

They also later discussed personnel work, which will be submitted to the legislature for consideration.
