Binh Thuan Province asked to strengthen Party building

Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong has asked the leaders of Binh Thuan Province to strengthen Party building and pay more attention to enhancing internal unity.

The Party official made the request while addressing a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on July 10, which was held to review the locality’s implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th Provincial Party Congress for the 2015 - 2020 term.

He also requested that the province promote democratic centralism, criticism and self-criticism while also fighting against degradation in political ideology and corruption.

He highly valued the positive achievements made by the provincial Party Committee, authorities and people over recent years.

Accordingly, encouraging outcomes have been seen in the province’s economic growth, the building of rural areas, improvements in people’s living conditions, and poverty reduction.

The province has fully grasped the opportunities and potentials to advance its development, he hailed.

Regarding tasks for the coming time, Politburo member Vuong urged the provincial leaders to focus more on developing the three key fields of energy industry, sea tourism and sports, and hi-tech agriculture.

The province must also tighten the management of land and mineral resources, address existing environmental issues and promote afforestation and forest management while being more active in dealing with drought and raising people's awareness of drought prevention measures.

During his stay in Binh Thuan, Politburo member Vuong also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded soldiers, and revolutionary contributors in Ham Liem Commune, Ham Thuan Bac District.
