Vietnamese Ambassador presents credentials to Tanzanian President

Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Nguyen Nam Tien presented his credentials to President of Tanzania John Pombe Magufuli on August 2.

After the presentation, the Tanzanian President held talks with the Vietnamese diplomat at the Presidential Palace.

Ambassador Tien conveyed greetings from Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to President John Pombe Magufuli while expressing his honour to be appointed as the Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania.

The Ambassador expressed his wish to contribute to promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Vietnamese diplomat also suggested the two countries continue supporting each other and closely cooperate at multilateral forums in addition to facilitating the operation of Halotel company, a joint venture of Vietnamese Viettel Group in Tanzania.

The Tanzanian President appreciated the bilateral relations, which were established in the 1960s, affirming that Tanzania will always support Vietnam.

Through Ambassador Nguyen Nam Tien, the Tanzanian President invited the Vietnamese President to visit Tanzania while calling on Vietnamese enterprises to invest in the country, particularly in the building of processing plants for cashew nuts and producing fabric.
