Vietnam, RoK foster bilateral relations in new situation

Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) should continue supporting each other and sharing experience in COVID-19 prevention and control and treatment to boost bilateral relations in a new situation.

The statement was made by Politburo Member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong during his reception for RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Park Noh-wan in Hanoi on September 21, given the disease has yet to be put under control in the world.

He suggested both sides to seek more effective measures to deepen cooperation in politics and people-to-people exchange to create a firm political foundation for the bilateral relationship.

He asked the RoK to intensify collaboration and coordinate closely with Vietnam at regional and international multi-lateral forums to maintain peace, stability, cooperation, security, and respect for law in international relations.

Ambassador Park affirmed that in his position he will try his best to promote the ties between the two countries and between his country’s political parties and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
