Speaking at the congress, VP Thinh praised the results achieved by Hoa Binh in its emulation and commendation work during the 2015-2020 period.
The province has recorded high economic growth at an average annual rate of 8.65%. Economic structure shifted in a positive direction. The GRDP per capita reached VND66.9 million, 1.66 times higher than that in 2015 andhigher than the average of the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region. The fields of culture and society have all completed and exceeded their planned targets.
The VP suggested that Hoa Binh continue to thoroughly grasp, deploy and raise awareness of the implementation of emulation work in a more effective and practical manner in the time to come.
On the occasion, VP Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presented VND200 million from the Vietnam Children Sponsoring Fund to students in the province who have overcome difficulties to achieve high academic results.
At the Congress, a collective and an individual were honoured with the second-class Labour Medal; five collectives and six individuals received the third-class Labour Medal; 10 collectives and 12 individuals received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister; and eight collectives received emulation flags from the Governmentfor their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2019.
The Hoa Binh Provincial People’s Committee also presented certificates of merit to 15 outstanding collectives and 45 individuals in the 2015-2020 period and launched the patriotic emulation movement for the 2020-2025 period.
