Speaking at the fifth Patriotic Emulation Congress (2020-2025 term) of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) on November 11, Vice President Thinh praised the significant emulation results that the group achieved during the period 2015-2020.

She encouraged Vinacomin to accelerate its emulation movements and successfully implement the key tasks outlined at the congress.

Accordingly, Vinacomin should carry forward the building of a pure and strong Party organisation, in addition to applying technological advances in production, facilitating intensive processing, and improving productivity and competitiveness, the Vice President stated.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Thinh presented the first-class Independence Order to the Vietnam Coal and Minerals College and the second-class and third-class Labour Orders to four collectives and individuals.

On the occasion, Vinacomin was also awarded the Government’s Emulation Flag for having brilliantly fulfilled its tasks and led the national patriotic emulation movement in 2019.

Earlier on November 10, Vice President Thinh attended the third Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, while hosting a reception for a delegation of national contributors from the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang.
