The top legislator made the statement at her meeting with 183 outstanding teachers and educational management officials in Hanoi on November 15.
She also appreciated the achievements that the educational sector has gained in recent years, contributing to improving people's knowledge, developing human resources, and fostering talents.
NA Chairwoman Ngan emphasised that the Party and State have always paid special attention to creating favourable conditions for the educational sector to develop and promote its important role as a key factor and motivation in the country’s economic development and the preservation of national culture.
The NA and NA Standing Committee always pay great attention to the implementation of policies and laws on education in the social community, she added.
The NA leader asked the educational sector to continue to implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on educational and training development and renovation,thus meeting the requirements for the country’s industrialisation and modernisation.
The Ministry of Education and Training should proactively contribute practical proposals in line with the sector’s development as well as the socio-economic development direction of the country in the near future, she said.
NA Chairwoman Ngan also urged the promotion of high-quality human resources as well as the application of scientific and technological advances and digital transformation in education and training.
