The request was made at a New Year meeting with the office on February 17, the first working day of the lunar calendar year 2021.

Speaking at the meeting, PM Phuc acknowledged the results achieved by the office in giving good advice to the Government regarding taking care of and serving the people during Tet, as well as in issuing directives and dispatches related to COVID-19 prevention and control and overcoming the consequences of recent natural disasters.

The head of government asked the office to immediately get back to their jobs regarding research, offering advice and grasping an overall view of certain affairs, especially on how to protect the people’s health amid the new wave of the COVID-19 outbreak.

He said that the Government Office must meet all deadlines with no delays to any tasks assigned by the central government or proposed by ministries and local authorities.

He also took the occasion to praise the office's staff for carrying out their duties in a responsible manner during the New Year holiday.
