Many places the region from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue are forecast to see thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain from the evening and night of October 4 to 6, with average rainfall of 100-200mm per period, even reaching over 250mm per period in several places.
The northern delta and coastal areas, from tonight to October 6, there will be showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain with a rainfall of 30-60mm per 24 hours, even over 80mm per 24 hours in some places.
During the thunderstorms, there will be a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
High risks of flash floods and landslides are warned for mountainous areas; meanwhile, low-lying and riverside areas were warned of localised flooding.
In addition, due to the influence of the low pressure, the Central, South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions will see moderate to heavy rain locally this afternoon and evening, with rainfall of 30-60mm per 24 hours, and even more than 80mm per 24 hours in some places.
