The event will open a series of events being held in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho, from August 21 to 26, including workshops, exhibitions, and site events.

This year’s Vietnam renewable energy week aims to create a forum for policy makers, scholars, investors and the public to find solutions to remove difficulties and promote renewable energy; raise public awareness of the feasibility and benefits of renewable energy, calling for their actions to promote the process; and launch the initiative “Millions of green houses for a prosperous Vietnam”.

According to Nguy Thi Khanh, Executive Director of GreenID - Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID) , coordinator of VSEA, the Vietnam Renewable Energy Week 2018 will see five major events held in three major cities and 18 national events, attracting the direct participation of 2,300 delegates and more than 10,000 followers online.

With the message “Clearing the path for renewable energy to every home in Vietnam,” this year’s Renewable Energy Week is expected to encourage all Vietnamese citizens to become part of the energy transition and to directly benefit from this process.

Vietnam Renewable Energy Week 2018 will conclude with the "Touch Green Energy" running event at Ecopark in Hanoi on August 26. It is not only a sporting event but also has a social and environmental implication, attracting about 700 participants.
