The storm’s eye was some 880km east of Luzon island, the Philippines, at 7am on October 28.
At 7am on October 29, the storm was located 17.2 degrees latitude north and 126.0 degrees longitude east and some 420km east of Luzon island.
The maximum wind speeds near the eye of the storm have reached 165-185km per hour.
As of 7am on October 31, its eye will advance to some 550km east-northeast of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) island, with wind speeds reaching 100-135km per hour.
The Central Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention has asked relevant ministries and agencies, as well as coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Khanh Hoa, to boost communication with off-shore vessels in the location and direction of the super typhoon.
Forces and means of transport for rescue and salvage must be readily prepared in case of emergencies.
