Accordingly, Saigon Co.op calls on shoppers to replace plastic bags with paper bags, paper boxes, and those made from environmentally-friendly materials.

Saigon Co.op also launched their 10th edition of the campaign on green consumption in Ho Chi Minh City to raise awareness on environment protection among people and the business community and to promote green consumption behaviours.

Under the campaign, the retailer offered up to 40% discount on the price of environmentally friendly products and customers who go shopping with eco-friendly bags will also get bonuses.

“Green cash counters” are also set up at Saigon Co.op-run shopping locations to reduce waiting time for customers who include green products in their shopping bags.
