Travelling in conjunction with natural experiences and wildlife exploration has developed strongly and become a trend around the world.

However, in addition to positive contributions to economic development, the tourism sector has also had negative impacts on environment, nature and wildlife resources.

Therefore, businesses and agencies agreed that the development of directions and strategies for tourism development should be reviewed more thoroughly in order to reduce risks for travel and tourism agencies while preserving the natural and environmental values of Vietnam.

The commitment highlighted the respect for nature, ecosystems and local culture in tourism business activities as well as the prohibition of the exploitation, use, trading, transportation, possession, consumption, advertisement and introduction of illegal products from wild animals.

It also emphasised the necessity of developing and implementing a code of conduct on environmentally and natural responsible tourism and cooperation with national parks and natural nature reserves in the design, construction, promotion and development of products associated with conservation and responsible tourism.

The commitment requires efforts to participate in activities of responsible tourism networks and organisations while spreading the spirit of sustainable tourism development in Vietnam.
