International Student Science Conference features 1,000 young scientists

An International Student Science Conference, themed “Role of Young Intellectuals in the fourth Industrial Revolution”, was held by the Vietnam Students’ Association in Hanoi on December 18.

The conference focused on three main divisions including economy, science and technology, and social humanities.

The conference attracted nearly 1,000 young scientists from 10 countries around the world and 38 provinces and cities of Vietnam.

Over 300 presentations clearly displayed the diversity and range of approaches in the studying and learning methods in a modern manner.

Especially, the conference advanced tools to check the scientific coherence of the presentations. Following the conference, the organising board will apply for digital object identifiers (DOIs) for them.

The International Student Science Conference discussed the vision, mission, role, and ability of young intellectuals to contribute to the national construction and defence as well boost the international integration under the three aspects of economy, technique-science and technology, and social humanities.

At the event, the delegates shared a common view that COVID-19 pandemic has strongly boosted the technology-based industries, especially e-commerce. Thanks to the young population structure and high consumption demand, Vietnam has always been assessed as one of the markets with the fastest growth in e-commerce in Southeast Asia.

In addition, many participants said the 4.0 era and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will create both challenges and opportunities for young intellectuals to show their key roles.
