The country has seen positive progress in forest protection, wildfire prevention and fighting compared to the previous year, it said.

In 2022, the department plans to focus on developing legal documents and strengthening management in forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting. It will also closely monitor the conversion of forest land for other purposes locally, get tougher on violations and enhance international cooperation in forest protection and development.
