Young people participate in protecting the cultural foundation in cyberspace

NDO - A symposium themed “Cyberspace and the youth's mission to protect the cultural and ideological frontiers”took place in Hanoi on May 11 in both direct and online forms.

The event which attracted the participation of over 5,000 youth members and young people across the country was co-organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Commission for Communication and Education; the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education; and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Speaking at the symposium, Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC's Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that after thousands of years, Vietnamese culture has forged the soul, mettle, and bravery of the nation, brightening the country's glorious history, becoming the spiritual foundation of society, inspiring patriotic traditions, national pride, beliefs and aspirations to develop a prosperous and happy country.

He spoke highly of the efforts made by the Youth Union and young people across the country in contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, protecting the cultural ideological frontier in the context of digital transformation.

At the symposium, the delegates focused on identifying the importance, impact and influence of cyberspace, cross-border cultural services on the protection work on cultural and ideological frontiers; analysing the position and role of the Youth Union and Vietnamese youth in participating in the construction and development of cross-border cultural services.
