Microsoft helps Vietnamese firms accelerate digital transformation

Microsoft Vietnam has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with seven independent software vendors (ISV) in Vietnam to assist ISV in accelerating the process of digital transformation.

Accordingly, Microsoft has agreed to support its partners in deploying their solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform.

Seven Vietnamese partners participated in the signing of the MoU including AltTek Global, DiCentral, FPT IS, FSoft, Mobio, Pyramid Software & Consulting and Tinhvan Technologies JSC. These companies all have diverse solutions which are highly applicable in the areas of retail, finance, education and publishing.

A representative from Microsoft said that 90% of the Top Fortune 500 companies have selected its cloud computing platform for their digital transformation process because the platform not only helps to improve business performance but also saves costs.

Through the signing of the MoU, Microsoft partners can quickly introduce their business applications and solutions to corporate customers at a reasonable cost.

Chief Technology Officer of FPT IS Phan Thanh Son said that the company is determined to pioneer in developing 4.0 technology solutions in Vietnam and is focusing on developing solutions on smart transportation and cities, a digital government, digital banking, smart medicals, smart hotels, and others.

According to Son, the promotion of cooperation with global technology companies plays a crucial role in realising the FPT’s long-term strategies. Of which, Microsoft is one of its most important partners, especially in the field of Cloud, Son noted.
