Two international physics workshops open in Binh Dinh

Nearly 100 scientists and researchers from 20 countries around the world participated in two international physics workshops, which opened at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in Quy Nhon city, in the central province of Binh Dinh, on July 16.

The event, which formed part of the 14th “Meeting Vietnam” (Rencontres du Vietnam) programme held by the “Rencontres du Vietnam” Association, offered a chance for delegates to meet and discuss issues related to scientific research.

The “Views in Topological phase: From solid-state physics to high energy physics" conference aims to summarise the latest reality of the theory of Topological phase, which has been very interested over the last decade.

Meanwhile, the “Borders of neutrinos” event provides a holistic view of neutrino physics and its vision for the future development of this field, with its important implications for the fields of particle physics, astrophysics, cosmography and nuclear physics.

The two workshop conferences will last until July 20.

The “Rencontres du Vietnam” Association was founded in 1993 by Professor Tran Thanh Van, with the aim of supporting Vietnam in terms of science and education. Since 1993, a series of “Meeting Vietnam” programmes have been held in Binh Dinh, with over 40 international workshops and 16 specialised courses, participated in by over 3,500 scientists.
