By winning the competition, the team’s members advance to compete against participating teams from other ASEAN member states in the regional finals, which will be held in Singapore on October 25.

The second and third prizes went to the Maverick team from RMIT University Vietnam and The Transformers team from University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, respectively.

Under the theme ‘Today's Youth for Tomorrow's World’, the Vietnamese contest attracted 10 teams of students from eight universities across the country.

The competition, which is in its second year, is jointly held by the ASEAN Foundation and Germany’s multinational software corporation SAP SE with an aim to inspire and catalyse ASEAN youth activism.

By using the SAP analytics cloud platform, the initiative encourages participants to deliver data-driven insights which highlight issues in ASEAN across six United Nation Sustainable Development Goals, including good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, industry, innovation and infrastructure, decent work and economic growth, and sustainable cities and communities.
