The contest, which lasts from December 15 to February 1, 2019, aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection, with sponsorship from the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and support from the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Photo submissions should focus on environmental damage and its effect on human health.

Contestants can register at http://bit.ly/photocontestdangky and submit as many photos as they want to airpollution_contest@changevn.org until February 1, 2019. The winners will be announced in early March and an award ceremony is slated for March 25.

The winner will walk home with a prize worth VND10 million (US$430) and a Canon camera.

Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living and working in Vietnam are eligible for the contest, with no age limits.
