Photo contest to raise public awareness of environmental protection

The 2019 photo contest ‘Challenges to change’ will be launched from July 22 to August 25, aiming to raise awareness of environmental protection among young people.

The event is held jointly by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee, the French Development Agency, the French Embassy in Vietnam and the EU Delegation in Vietnam.

Themed ‘Youths committed to responding to climate change", the contest will offer an opportunity for youth members to show their creativity in solutions to respond to climate change.

Each individual or group of contestants will send a set of 2-5 photos, demonstrating the ideas, locations and processes of implementing the activities and projects related to adaptation to climate change.

The entries will be sent to the email address: thanhnienvabiendoikhihau@gmail.com.

The organising board will present VND10 million and a bamboo bicycle to the first prize winner; and VND5 million and a bicycle to the second prize winner. Meanwhile, three third prizes worth VND3 million and bicycles will be awarded to other outstanding contestants.

The award ceremony is expected to be held in September.
