Young academies join hands to promote peaceful and inclusive societies

The fourth Worldwide Meeting of Young Academies, themed ‘Young Academies promoting peaceful and inclusive societies’, officially opened at Duy Tan University, in the central city of Da Nang, on July 31.

The event, held by the Vietnam Young Academy (VYA), featured the participation of over 60 delegates from 34 young academies worldwide.

This is the first time that the meeting has been held in Vietnam. The event is expected to contribute to promoting the image of the land and people as well as the academic environment and science of Vietnam to the world.

The participants are sharing their views on the impact of science and techniques on socio-economic development.

On the occasion, young scientists will join various community activities aimed towards students at high schools in Quang Nam province and Da Nang City, including the programmes themed ‘nano materials addressing global health challenges’, ‘a remote message - explore the universe in search of yourself’, and a painting contest on scientists.

In addition, a scientific seminar on the application of nano materials in health care will be held with the participation of over 20 leading experts.
