Co-organised by the Radio & Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV), the IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc) and University of Transport and Communications (UTC), the annual conference series, since 2008, aims to foster an international forum for scientific and technological exchange among Vietnamese and worldwide scientists and engineers in the fields of electronics, communications and related areas, and to gather their high-quality research contributions.

This year’s event features the participation of over 200 delegates from 26 countries, representatives of ministries, branches, universities, academies, research institutes, corporations, domestic and foreign enterprises.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai said that Telecommunication technology and communication play an extremely important role in the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). Smart cities and an e-government are the goal that Vietnam is interested in building investment in. In order to quickly become a digital country, Vietnam needs to exchange ideas, learn from experiences from international experts and scientists, especially in the field of telecommunications and information technology.

During the three-day event, there are about 70 reports on seven main topics: 5G networks and applications, intelligent transport systems, integrated networks, electronics, antennas and radio transmissions, signal processing and micro engineering. According to the organising board, ATC 2019 has received 125 presentations from more than 420 speakers from 26 countries around the world.

On the sidelines of the seminar are product display booths introducing new technologies of VNPT technology groups, Keysight technologies, Rohde and Schwarz, Alongis Corporation, Savis technology Group.
