JSAMD is the collaboration between the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Netherland’s Elsevier publishing company.
JSAMD is the only Vietnamese scientific journal selected by Clarivate Analytics to be listed in the SCIE database while several other countries in the ASEAN region such as Thailand and Malaysia already have 8 and 15 selected journals respectively.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc, vice president of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said that JSAMD published its first issue in March 2016. It was listed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in July 2017 and listed in the Scopus in April 2018 before being chosen to SCIE.
JSAMD focuses on publishing research works related to advanced materials and components, including biological materials, green materials, energy materials, metamaterials, nanomaterials and composite, smart materials, magnetic materials, dielectric materials, semiconductor materials, superconducting materials, components and applications, and others.
JSAMD has so far published 257 research worksincluding 20% by Vietnamese authors while theremaining works come from other countries includingIndia, the US, Japan, China, France, the UK, Russia, among others.
SCIE covers over 9,200 world’s major journals across 178 disciplines, more than 53 million articles and nearly two billion cited reference connections from 1900 to present.
