The winning firms stood out against 194 nominations from 169 businesses operating in 18 ICT fields in Vietnam.

The 76 businesses posted total revenue of VND186.694 trillion (US$8.054 billion), accounting for more than 60.74% of the total revenue of the ICT and software industry in 2020.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long hailed Vietnamese ICT enterprises’ significant contributions to the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as their rapid building of many digital technology platforms and solutions to help people across the country maintain their daily activities amidst the pandemic, particularly businesses, organisations, agencies and students.

He stressed that ICT solutions have made an important contribution to facilitating medical examination and treatment activities at hospitals and medical facilities nationwide.

He reported that the ICT business community has donated more than VND1.6 trillion to the National COVID-19 Vaccine Fund while actively participating in the Government’s ‘Internet and computers for students’ programme to support needy students in online learning.

He expressed his hope that ICT firms will continue to promote their vanguard role in the country’s modernisation, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
