NDO – Five winners of Viet Solutions 2021 contest were honoured at a ceremony held by the Authority of Information Technology Application (Ministry of Information and Communications) and Viettel in Hanoi on October 18.

The contest aimed to find innovative ideas, products and technology solutions that can be applied to industries and social fields in the National Digital Transformation Programme. This is the second year the contest has been sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The organising board said that, overcoming the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's contest received 257 applications from 17 countries, with 85% of the entries being in priority fields for national digital transformation.

The new point of Viet Solutions 2021 is that the organising board has promoted early cooperation to support the competition teams to bring products to the market while at the same time contributing to speeding up the process of approaching customers and training towards accessing domestic and international markets.

The first prize of Viet Solutions 2021 worth VND300 million went to the solution "Vintom - software to convert digital data into video format". This is a technology solution in the field of finance-banking, allowing digital data to be converted into interactive and personalised videos for corporate customers.

Two third prizes, worth VND150 million each, were presented to "EMDDI application - taxi system management application" and "Dino goes to school" in the field of education.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that the contest was increasingly in-depth, aiming to solve the problems of eight priority areas for national digital transformation, such as sensor measurement systems to control traffic lights, or detecting copyright infringement.

The Viet Solutions 2021 also gathered many solutions aimed at dual goals, both successfully fighting the epidemic and promoting socio-economic development such as online learning for young children, and personal information authentication solutions.

Viet Solutions 2021 also attracts the participation of the technology community of technology businesses in Vietnam and many countries around the world. The contest also attracted participation of students from several universities.

The contest is expected to become a playground to promote creativity in students, helping them to become more mature.
