National Youth Informatics Contest opens

Nhan Dan Online – The 20th edition of the National Youth Informatics Contest officially opened in Hanoi on August 8 and brought together 87 teams of young informatics lovers from across the country.

The teams are competing in five groups for regular awards and creative software prizes in elementary, secondary and high school levels.

A variety of activities such as an IT camp and exhibition and a forum themed 'To Light up a Dream' are being held on the sidelines of the competition.

The event provides a practical and useful playground for young informatics lovers nationwide, while making a significant contribution to the training of qualified IT human resources for the country, Le Quoc Phong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union said.

This year's contest are held jointly by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Ministries of Education and Training, Information and Communications, and Science and Technology; Vietnam Television and the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee.
