The military-run company said equipment has been installed in not only district centres but also nearly 6,300 communes throughout the country, including many in remote, mountainous regions and islands.

Among the districts covered by Viettel’s 4G signals, more than one hundreds are border districts in 25 provinces.

4G signals are also available in special locations of Vietnam’s territory such as the northernmost and southernmost tips, the highest mountain in Indochina Mount Fansipan and the border junction between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Viettel plans to activate over 7,300 4G stations by the end of March, raising the total number of its 4G stations to 28,000 nationwide, ensuring that its 4G coverage will be of highest quality at the time of official launch.
