The event was jointly organised by the National Agency for Science and Technology Information under the Ministry of Science and Technology and Germany’s IMAG fairs organisation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology said in the context of global economic integration, the quality of analytical and diagnostic work is significant to business production and export as well as quality inspections, scientific research and public healthcare.

The event provides a good opportunity for local organisations and individuals to directly forge links with suppliers from developed countries, he added.

Analytica Vietnam 2017 is introducing equipment and services relating to quality analysis, measurement, examination and management technologies, and lab and bio-technology from 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors.

The previous event attracted 95 exhibitors from 15 countries and over 3,500 visitors.

This year's event is scheduled to run until March 31.
