Vietnamese-run ride-hailing service launched in Ho Chi Minh City

GO-IXE, a Vietnamese-developed and run ride-hailing service, was officially launched in Ho Chi Minh City on September 12, following its launch in eight provinces and cities throughout the country.

Previously, the GO-IXE service was launched in An Giang in April 2018, as well as in Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Can Tho, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang.

According to a representative from the municipal Department of Transport, the GO-IXE app is implemented in accordance with Decision No. 24/QĐ-BGTVT by the Ministry of Transport on the pilot implementation of science and technology to support the management and connection of passenger transport activities under contract in the city.

GO-IXE Technology Co., Ltd, the app’s owner, said that GO-IXE is operating in HCM City to promote the application of IT to support the management and connection of transportation services, contributing to the comprehensive renewal of the modern road transport and increased efficiency of the connection between passengers and the providers of passenger transport services.

As planned, GO-IXE will continue to be deployed in Hanoi and other locales in the near future.

Previously, it has been present in eight provinces and cities, including Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Can Tho, An Giang, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang.
