Finance sector continues leading e-Government development in 2018

The Ministry of Finance led the way in e-Government development in 2018, according to a report on Vietnam’s e-Government development.

The report was announced by the Department of Computerisation under the Ministry of Information and Communications at a conference in Hanoi on April 25.

The report featured evaluations and rankings in three categories, including ministries and ministerial-level agencies, governmental agencies and centrally-run cities and provinces.

The Ministry of Finance led in the category of ministries and ministerial-level agencies, followed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Meanwhile, among the governmental agencies, Vietnam Social Security took the lead for the second consecutive year, followed by Vietnam News Agency and Vietnam Television.

Da Nang earned top spot in terms of the centrally-run provinces and cities, followed by Thue Thien - Hue, Quang Ninh, Binh Duong, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa and Binh Dinh province.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, many online public services at levels 3 and 4 of ministries, agencies and localities have been operated effectively, with a huge number of records processed.
