The programme is expected to bring together 1,000 delegates from businesses and organisations with nominations for the awards from 16 member countries and economies of APICTA.

This will be an opportunity for Vietnam to advertise its land, people and IT development, while creating a platform for domestic businesses and organisations to meet and connect with international partners, thus opening more opportunities for Vietnamese IT products and software solutions to compete and gain a foothold in the regional arena.

Recently, a contingent of senior leaders, including 23 delegates from 14 APICTA member nations and economies, arrived in Vietnam to inspect the host country’s preparation for the event.

Jit Singh Santok Singh, founder and chairman of the APICTA Awards, highly appreciated the organising committee’s careful and thorough preparations for the 2019 APICTA Awards, stressing his belief that with Vietnam’s great conditions in terms of natural conditions and people, the 19th APICTA Awards will surely be a continental-level event and a milestone of APICTA.

As part of the 2019 APICTA Awards, two international seminars on digital transformation and smart cities are scheduled to be held on November 20, expecting to gather 400-500 delegates. In addition, there are many other interesting goings-on, such as exhibitions, trade exchanges between domestic and foreign IT firms, and a Vietnamese cultural night.

The APICTA Awards is an international awards programme organised by APICTA, aiming to stimulate ICT innovation and creativity, promote economic and trade relations, facilitate technology transfer, and offer business matching opportunities via exposure to venture capitalists and investors. The awards is considered the “Oscar of the ICT arena in Asia-Pacific” and is held annually and alternately in APICTA member countries.
